| AMG Personality Symbols Understanding the road signs is essential to any journey, and the symbols one encounters along the way through Physique Pictorial are no exception. Bob Mizer annotated photos of his models with complex codes to help us understand their individual personality traits. Of course the model's physical statistics, age, occupation and biographical information were often listed explicitly in the accompanying text, so the covert nature of these codes raises questions of their purpose. Were most of these symbols meant to describe the model's sexual characteristics in particular? I am reminded of my days in the church choir when we would amuse ourselves by adding the phrase "—under the sheets" to the end of the hymn titles.
